Restoration Community Church

resyouth

ResYouth is our ministry to middle and high school students! We believe ResYouth will experience Jesus, know Jesus, and trust Jesus in such a way that transforms their lives and equips them to fulfill their calling in God’s Story of restoration. Transformed by the gospel, ResYouth exists to cultivate our youths' relationship with Jesus alongside gospel community, grow in godly character, and engage our world and culture with love, curiosity, and discernment. The primary avenues for this to take place are, generally, through a monthly rotation of the following events:

  • Big Group: Large group with dinner, games, music, teaching, and small group discussion; one Sunday of the month from 5-7pm.

  • Small Groups: While Big Group also includes Bible teaching and fellowship, the goal for Small Group is to provide an environment that allows the youth to go deeper in those two areas with one another. Small Group will be gender specific, with boys and girls meeting at a different family's house, but looking at the same book of the bible. One Sunday of the month from 5-7pm.

  • Can I Ask That?: This lunch event takes place after church, usually one Sunday a month. "Can I Ask That?" provides a place for our youth to think through, wrestle, and be honest with the common hard questions of the faith - e.g., "How could a loving God send people to hell?", "Hasn't science disproved Christianity?", or "Can I trust the Bible?"

  • Work Day: Living out our faith is an important value for ResYouth; not just talking about the truth and love of Jesus, but actually serving our neighbors in the St. Louis area. A couple of times a semester, ResYouth will partner with another ministry, such as Loaves & Fishes or RestoreSTL, that allows us to work with the community.
