Coronavirus Updates

July 26, 2021, Update

Per CDC and county guidelines, we will be required to wear masks in the church building, regardless of vaccination status.

June 25, 2021

Dear ResCom Family,

We promised you we’d re-evaluate our Covid-related procedures and update you at the end of June, and here we are! Out of a continued desire to operate safely, wisely, and out of love for one another, to this point our procedures have been more conservative than the current CDC guidelines. That will continue to be the case this Sunday, June 27. However, beginning on July 4, we will make the following significant changes to our Sunday gatherings:

  • We will no longer require an RSVP to attend worship

  • We will continue to have two services, but there will be no limit on our capacity for either service

  • We will require those who have not been fully vaccinated (which currently includes all children ages 4-11) to wear a mask, but masks will be optional for those fully vaccinated

We continue to be grateful for your cooperation with our safety measures throughout the pandemic. We’ve seen our church body make sacrifices and disadvantage themselves for the sake of gathering together safely. We would ask you to continue loving one another well in at least two ways: First, if you are not fully vaccinated, we ask that you would take responsibility for wearing a mask indoors at church for the sake of others. Second, regardless of your vaccination status, if you are not feeling well or are symptomatic, we ask that you would worship at home via our livestream rather than coming to church.

As we look towards starting this new phase on July 4, we recognize that while some of you will eagerly welcome these changes, they may cause greater anxiety for others. If you find yourself hesitant about larger gatherings, you may wish to attend our 9am service, which thus far has had a lower attendance than our 10:45 service. We’ve seen many members of our church family return to in-person worship for the first time over the past month, and it’s brought us great joy to be together once again. We look forward to welcoming more and more of you back.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to talk to one of our officers or staff members.
